Meet May’s Employee of the Month!

Dear Staff, Nurses & all other employees at MediLodge of Howell, I just wanted to take time to thank you for going above and beyond the 'job description' in showing love, compassion, patience, and kindness. It takes a special gift to work with elderly people who are now facing a difficult [moment in their life]. Even those of you who are janitors and kitchen help, please know that your smiles, jokes, and sweet words made such a difference in my mom's life. Many of you she loved as her extended family. My family chose MediLodge of Howell for my grandmother, Loretta Sparks, and I was so happy they did! Jody and Natasha are specific team members that stood out because they are so friendly and caring! I met them at the Pink Party and they stood out to me because of their hard work. My great grandmother was a patient at this facility and the staff are outstanding! They are so catering and accommodating and so nice! The staff at the Pink Party in Howell were super fun and friendly! I would recommend this center to anyone!

I came here after ankle joint replacement (surgery). I still cannot use my left foot, as I am not allowed to put weight on it for two more weeks. However, physical therapists showed me how to get on and out of a wheelchair without using my left foot and also how to use a knee roller properly. I am going home now, able to get around by myself! (The people who work here are very helpful and pleasant!)

I want to say that I am very happy with Medilodge of Howell. Natasha really made things happen for my Father. He was at a facility in Detroit. The conditions of the facility was poor. He was sleeping in a broken bed. He lost a lot of weight, because they feed him very little. Natasha really fought for him, without her I don't believe we would have been able to move him at all. I am so grateful for all she has done for my Father and family. My life is better because of her help. We seriously needed to find long term care for him Close to home. Natasha was our families’ champion she fought for him and believed in him and our family. Natasha and Medilodge Of Howell really helped getting him what he needed. I was living in a senior living in Anderson, Indiana, in late 2015. I had been sick later half of 2015. I also had two heart attacks in 2015. Starting in January 2016, I had several bouts of pneumonia. In February, I had to go to Saint Johns ER because of trouble breathing. The doctors at Saint johns determined I needed a tracheostomy because my oxygen levels were low. After the surgery, my heart stopped, and they had to do CPR. I was put on a ventilator to help me breathe. I was in the hospitals from February to June. My daughter Tracy had me transferred to Howell, Michigan, at MediLodge for Physical Therapy. I met two therapists Linsey and Austin. I could only walk halfway, but by the end, I was walking both ways several times. I would do some weight lifting. I would ride there bicycle exercise machine. I walked with a walker, and Linsey and Austin would set goals how far to walk. I finally could walk on my own with a brace and cane. I can walk without the brace. I can walk short distances but long distances I have to use it. I went from assisted living to a senior community. I shop for myself and cook. I try to walk a mile and a half every day. I can do many things I couldn't when I was sick. Linsey and Austin had a lot of confidence I would walk but on my own from Medilodge. I feel that if it weren't for those two I would not have done so well.

After looking for a few months, I came back to MediLodge of Howell for a second tour to compare. We are so glad we made this choice. Natasha Cook was so patient interviewing us and very knowledgable while showing us the facility. The ladies at the front desk were also all smiles and happy to help. I encourage everyone to try MediLodge of Howell. Stop Looking!

I chose MediLodge of Howell because I knew it was a safe and clean facility, and it also had great Google reviews! Everyone at MediLodge was very welcoming and friendly. The therapy department stood out to me, especially. I feel so much stronger and comfortable returning home.

I checked into MediLodge of Howell after breaking my right wrist in a car accident. While at the facility I learned to eat, dress, and write my signature with my left hand. I'm excited to get home to my pets, but my compliments to the staff who have taken very good care of me and given me much attention. This facility has a humanitarian approach to senior citizens, which I deeply appreciate.

To all the personnel that went the extra mile for our mother, Helen Brochowski, and gave her the gift of time. Your loving care is much appreciated, and you made such a difference. Thanks for all you do!

The reason we chose MediLodge of Howell is because they helped us through the process from the first referral from the hospital and we felt welcomed from the get-go. Lisa, Kathy, Jennifers (Rose), Dan and Darren (Daisy), Tika, (CNA Aide), Leilini, Kate, Stacie, Joey, Natasha, Wendy, Maria (Housekeeping) were all team members that stood out during my aunt’s stay.
