I chose MediLodge of Howell because I knew it was a safe and clean facility, and it also had great Google reviews! Everyone at MediLodge was very welcoming and friendly. The therapy department stood out to me, especially. I feel so much stronger and comfortable returning home.
This is the first bone I’ve broken in 7 years. I don’t remember falling, but I was told I tripped over the dog’s bed, and I must have hit my head. When I got to the hospital, I didn’t even know my name. It took about 3-4 days for me to start to remember things. I came to MediLodge from the hospital because they didn’t want me to go straight home. I have several clients and family members who have stayed at MediLodge and recommended I come here for the excellent care. Since I’ve been at MediLodge, I’ve been working at getting stronger, so it will be easier to take care of myself when I get home. Everybody at MediLodge was friendly and kind. I would recommend MediLodge!
I want to thank Natasha and the staff so much for everything you did for my Mom, Jil. Everyone went above and beyond. Especially Natasha taking my calls on the weekend. Everyone was there in our time of need.
You helped us so much when we needed someone to guide us. We didn’t know what to do next with decisions in the medical field and you made everything go so smoothly. We will forever be thankful for YOU.
My Mom is doing much better after her two week stay.
I chose MediLodge of Howell for my mother because it was the only center that would take her insurance! Whenever I had questions or requests, they responded, and more importantly, they followed through. The admissions department is particularly helpful!
I checked into MediLodge of Howell after breaking my right wrist in a car accident. While at the facility I learned to eat, dress, and write my signature with my left hand. I’m excited to get home to my pets, but my compliments to the staff who have taken very good care of me and given me much attention. This facility has a humanitarian approach to senior citizens, which I deeply appreciate.
I was assigned to MediLodge of Howell after leaving the hospital. The staff made me feel like I may have played a small role in their future by opening up to me. Kelly was particularly hard working, loves being a nurse, and always says hi to everyone!
After looking for a few months, I came back to MediLodge of Howell for a second tour to compare. We are so glad we made this choice. Natasha Cook was so patient interviewing us and very knowledgable while showing us the facility. The ladies at the front desk were also all smiles and happy to help. I encourage everyone to try MediLodge of Howell. Stop Looking!
I came here because I was in a car accident and my leg was broken. I couldn’t go home due to my injuries. The therapists helped me walk again and regain my strength. While I was here, I lost my balance and fell, but the therapist helped me increase my balance and safety so I could get back home independently with everything I needed.
Hello, my name is Catherine. I’ve had the pleasure of being cared for by the Howell Medilodge staff and physical therapy specialists. My journey began last year when I was admitted twice to the Howell medilodge. The first time was January 2019. I was in a bad accident involving multiple injuries. My foot was severely broken. With a lot of hard work and an excellent staff, I was able to go home in June 2019. Unfortunately, a severe and aggressive infection caused my foot to be amputated in December 2019. I knew that the Howell Medilodge could and would provide a skillful environment for physical therapy and healing. Getting ready for a prosthetic leg and foot has been challenging, and the daily physical therapy as been very difficult. All made possible by the kind supportive staff here at the Howell MedilodgeI would definitely recommend the Howell Medilodge to friends and family. I’m finally going home with confidence in my new prosthetic leg. Thank you, Team Howell, for all you have done and continue to do! Catherine
When I first got here after having my second below-knee amputation, I was nervous. I was also thinking about what was in store for me. Then when I woke up, I was really uneasy, so I stayed in bed all day. That next day, I was prepared for therapy, and I had also set a goal to be out of here by Christmas. Then even though I thought I was ready, m mom intervened, so I wasn’t going home until New Year Day. For me, (I thought) being a double amputee was going to be a piece of cake, but I was wrong. I didn’t know there were 3 different kinds of therapy that I would have to do, and it was harder than the first amputation. Now that I’m getting to go home, I see why I had stayed. I give a big thank you to Kathy, Mo, Terry, and Jen for all of their support and encouragement.
MediLodge of Howell was recommended by our Elder Law Attorney.
I have already conducted a significant study of several memory care facilities. My first meeting with the staff at MediLodge of Howell sinched my decision, based on numerous points; professionalism, sincerity, years in business, etc.
The Rose Hall team as a whole was phenomenal from day one, Nurse Cathy stood out. As we were introduced, through the weeks, to the other nurses… the same (Lisa, Kari, Jenny, Darrin) caregivers also stood out! Katie and Megan, and all. Even the reception personnel, activity staff, and maintenance staff took the time to care for my father and show kindness to the family.
I was living in a senior living in Anderson, Indiana, in late 2015. I had been sick later half of 2015. I also had two heart attacks in 2015. Starting in January 2016, I had several bouts of pneumonia. In February, I had to go to Saint Johns ER because of trouble breathing. The doctors at Saint johns determined I needed a tracheostomy because my oxygen levels were low. After the surgery, my heart stopped, and they had to do CPR. I was put on a ventilator to help me breathe. I was in the hospitals from February to June. My daughter Tracy had me transferred to Howell, Michigan, at MediLodge for Physical Therapy. I met two therapists Linsey and Austin. I could only walk halfway, but by the end, I was walking both ways several times.
I would do some weight lifting. I would ride there bicycle exercise machine. I walked with a walker, and Linsey and Austin would set goals how far to walk. I finally could walk on my own with a brace and cane. I can walk without the brace. I can walk short distances but long distances I have to use it. I went from assisted living to a senior community. I shop for myself and cook. I try to walk a mile and a half every day. I can do many things I couldn’t when I was sick. Linsey and Austin had a lot of confidence I would walk but on my own from Medilodge. I feel that if it weren’t for those two I would not have done so well.
I came here after ankle joint replacement (surgery). I cannot still use my left foot as I am not allowed to weight on it for two more weeks. However, physical therapists showed me how to get on an out of a wheelchair without using my left foot and also how to use a knee roller properly.
I am going home and able to get around by myself! (The people who wor here are very helpful and pleasant!)
August 2019, I entered rehabilitation at MediLodge. I couldn’t walk. My body was weak. I couldn’t sit up or stand up. I made my first step on the 2nd day with the therapists on the parallel bars. From that time on, I progressed to standing, walking with a walker, climbing stairs, and exercises machines. It has been a joy to have gotten my life back and look forward to going home in the near future. I thank God for such a joyful recovery at MediLodge. The staff + patients are a wonderful experience. Love the therapists; they’re awesome!
I would recommend MediLodge of Howell.
To the staff at MediLodge, thank you to all of you. Especially the occupational and physical therapy departments for all of your help. Thank you for the kindness you gave to me while I was staying at your facility.
I give Howell five stars! Especially, Ken he was the best he was very polite and respectful.
Coming to MediLodge was well worth it! I feel stronger and my attitude changed too. I am more willing to do things. When the home nurse was coming, she only came two times a week for 40 minutes. I felt like we weren’t doing anything and I wasn’t getting any better. When I first came here I could only take a few steps, now I can walk all the way down to the therapy gym!

I chose MediLodge of Howell for my father. The reason that I chose MediLodge of Howell is because of its close proximity to my home. MediLodge of Howell also has a reputation of excellent care in the medical community.
The night nurse, Scott, was above and beyond caring for my dad’s sleep. Marie, the nurse’s aid is excellent and a very hard worker.
My dad would recommend this rehabilitation center to anyone he knows.
Great job MediLodge of Howell!
God told her this was the place for me to have a 2nd chance. Karri is a sweet nurse and cares for the residents. Therapy was good. I’m moving out, look, and feel good! I came here unable to walk, underweight, and thought I was not going to make it.
PT/OT/ST was awesome in getting her to participate in therapy; from admission to discharge, all staff facilitated a smooth transition, home care and equipment were ready and discharge done quickly. My mother improved and always praised the staff. Everyone smiled!
I am on an AVAP and MediLodge of Howell was the only place who took them. The specific team member that stood out was Wendy in Housekeeping! She goes above and beyond to be sure everyone has everything they need.
To all the personnel that went the extra mile for our mother, Helen Brochowski, and gave her the gift of time. Your loving care is much appreciated, and you made such a difference.
Thanks for all you do!
My mother, Joyce Brownlee suffers from late-stage dementia and Alzheimer.
My brother and I have cared for her around the clock for over 5 years and she now has progressed to the point that we cannot care for her ourselves anymore.
We have visited 14 facilities looking at overall cleanliness, staff to patient ratio, activities, and 24-hour nursing staff/doctor care etc.
Your [MediLodge of] Howell facility exceeded those requirements far ahead of any facilities we previously visited.
She had an emergency and needed rehab last week, decisions had to be made rapidly!
In our extreme difficulties and worries over the last week, I would like to recognize two employees at your Howell facility that were always happy to take my calls and answer my deepest concerns.
These employees also rapidly and painlessly accelerated our acceptance and admission process into the facility, reducing some of the anxieties associated with our mothers overall care.
So to that point, Joey Morganelli and Natasha Cook should be recognized for there professionalism and exceptional job!
Although we still have ongoing hurdles (Initial Care Conference) today, as we are concerned about some of her medications and their side effects, diet etc. I feel better that the nursing and doctor staff will excel as well as these other employees have.
Best,
The reason we chose MediLodge of Howell is because they helped us through the process from the first referral from the hospital and we felt welcomed from the get-go. Lisa, Kathy, Jennifers (Rose), Dan and Darren (Daisy), Tika, (CNA Aide), Leilini, Kate, Stacie, Joey, Natasha, Wendy, Maria (Housekeeping) were all team members that stood out during my aunt’s stay. Everyone went above and beyond with kindness and compassion for our aunt.
I chose MediLodge of Howell because of its amenities and pleasant staff. Natasha and Jody made the transition as smooth as possible for my loved one Sylvie Rice. I love the south nurses and aides – Cindy, Tiffany, Sarah, Julie, Kelly, Stephanie, and the rest of the team. Anytime you ask a question everyone is so nice and understanding. This staff goes the extra mile!
I chose MediLodge of Howell for my mother, Eugenia. I chose this center for their good reputation, cleanliness, and because it was closer to family and friends. From Wendy in Housekeeping to Daisy Hall, Darren, Dan, Paulette, Marie, Tika, Danielle, Katie, and Liz – They all take wonderful care of my mom and are wonderful!
I chose MediLodge of Howell because I heard good reviews and a friend of mine works here. MediLodge of Howell is a good place to get the help that you need. The therapy and nursing team were wonderful during my stay.
My mother had come to MediLodge of Howell and went home completely healed. The staff is phenomenal and compassionate. I wouldn’t choose any other place! Natasha and Joey were exceptional in helping me get him [my brother Timothy] set up, I was so overwhelmed and they were kind and helpful. The staff is the best, and no other facility will ever compare to the level of care that my family has received here!
My family chose MediLodge of Howell for my grandmother, Loretta Sparks, and I was so happy they did! Jody and Natasha are specific team members that stood out because they are so friendly and caring! I met them at the Pink Party and they stood out to me because of their hard work. My great grandmother was a patient at this facility and the staff are outstanding! They are so catering and accommodating and so nice! The staff at the Pink Party in Howell were super fun and friendly! I would recommend this center to anyone!
I was here last year and it was a great stay! Everyone is great here, especially Shelena. Therapy has done wonders for me and admissions is always visiting. Great team and staff—I wouldn’t stay anywhere else!
I chose Medilodge of Howell because of the location and the good staff. Dana in Physical Therapy really stood out. She was very thorough and I got really strong. My experience at Medilodge of Howell was very pleasant and the nurses were great.
I chose Medilodge of Howell for Joseph Williams because I was not satisfied with his previous facility. Dana, Austin, Lindsey and the rest of the staff really stood out. I specifically say Dana and Austin because they worked with Joseph the most and I could see the dedication and them trying very hard to accomplish out their set goals for Joseph.
Dear Staff, Nurses & all other employees at MediLodge of Howell,
I just wanted to take time to thank you for going above and beyond the ‘job description’ in showing love, compassion, patience, and kindness. It takes a special gift to work with elderly people who are now facing a difficult [moment in their life]. Even those of you who are janitors and kitchen help, please know that your smiles, jokes, and sweet words made such a difference in my mom’s life. Many of you she loved as her extended family. Thank you! May god abundantly bless and pour his love to you!

I want to say that I am very happy with Medilodge of Howell. Natasha really made things happen for my Father. He was at a facility in Detroit. The conditions of the facility was poor. He was sleeping in a broken bed. He lost a lot of weight, because they feed him very little.
Natasha really fought for him, without her I don’t believe we would have been able to move him at all. I am so grateful for all she has done for my Father and family. My life is better because of her help.
We seriously needed to find long term care for him Close to home. Natasha was our families’ champion she fought for him and believed in him and our family. Natasha and Medilodge Of Howell really helped getting him what he needed.
Thank You Natasha and Medilodge of Howell
Traci Powell
Dear MediLodge,
Where do I begin? First I need to say thank you to Natasha Cook for all the hard work she did. If it wasn’t for her, our father would still be in Detroit sleeping in a broken bed, and not being cared for! The day I called Natasha I was completely grief stricken. She showed me so much compassion! We as a family didn’t know where to turn. His health care providers let him down, failed him! Natasha recognized the fact that he was just a little old man that needed someone to give him a chance. We as a family owe her so much gratitude! MediLodge has changed our lives. We can now enjoy our dad. The care, and compassion that our father has been given by the MediLodge staff has been life changing for him!!! I can’t even imagine what would be going on in our lives today if it was for MediLodge giving him the opportunity to live there. MediLodge has given us as a family a chance to heal!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart

I chose MediLodge of Howell for myself after I lost my leg to a bone disease. I have always heard it’s a great place. The therapy, nursing, and admissions departments were all very helpful! Lisa, a nurse, was nice and understanding. Cathy, a nurse as well, was understanding and always there to talk to. I have had a nice and wonderful stay. I have had my problems and every concern and complaint has been corrected. The staff is always on their toes and two steps ahead.
As written in the Livingston County Press & Argus on 3/21/14
“I have just come home from five weeks at Medilodge in Howell. I want everyone to know about the great people who work there. The housekeepers, kitchen crew, physical therapists and nurses; and most of all, the ladies who personally take care all the sick and handicapped souls who don’t really want to be there.
They never fail to smile and do their work cheerfully and efficiently.
They make it bearable. No, they make it pleasant.”
“My wife and I are so glad we chose Medilodge of Howell for my rehabilitation stay… The nursing staff was excellent – they were caring, personable, and always willing to offer their assistance to ensure that you were doing ok and checking to see if you need anything. I was also very happy with the Physical and Occupational Therapists that helped me every day to gain strength and balance.”
“Medilodge has become my home away from home. I have Multiple Sclerosis which makes it impossible for me to always remain safely at home. Every time I return I see the same smiling faces, my second family. The entire team from the therapists to the chef work together to customize programs that fit my needs. I am valued, respected and treated with dignity. Medilodge is a beautiful facility that always exceeds my expectations.”
“As you might imagine, Medilodge of Howell staffers can regale you with lots of stories illustrating the reliability of our nursing care and rehabilitation therapy. Fortunately, so can our patients. And they do – frequently, at length, and enthusiastically!
We’ll let their testimonials speak for themselves. There are more where these come from, too. If you’re researching who can best provide for your recovery or rehabilitation, contact Medilodge of Howell to get additional feedback on the services we provide.
The excellent therapy I received made it possible for me to return home in just nine days! The Medilodge staff is top notch, from housekeeping, dietary, nursing and the therapy employees. I especially liked the delicious meals, giving you lots of choices and variety. I was very impressed at the overall cleanliness of the facility and very happy to have an on-site beauty shop. I enjoyed great conversations with all the people at Medilodge and plan to stay in touch with all my new friends!”
