2017 Senior Olympics

After looking for a few months, I came back to MediLodge of Howell for a second tour to compare. We are so glad we made this choice. Natasha Cook was so patient interviewing us and very knowledgable while showing us the facility. The ladies at the front desk were also all smiles and happy to help. I encourage everyone to try MediLodge of Howell. Stop Looking!

I want to say that I am very happy with Medilodge of Howell. Natasha really made things happen for my Father. He was at a facility in Detroit. The conditions of the facility was poor. He was sleeping in a broken bed. He lost a lot of weight, because they feed him very little. Natasha really fought for him, without her I don't believe we would have been able to move him at all. I am so grateful for all she has done for my Father and family. My life is better because of her help. We seriously needed to find long term care for him Close to home. Natasha was our families’ champion she fought for him and believed in him and our family. Natasha and Medilodge Of Howell really helped getting him what he needed. I chose MediLodge of Howell for my mother, Eugenia. I chose this center for their good reputation, cleanliness, and because it was closer to family and friends. From Wendy in Housekeeping to Daisy Hall, Darren, Dan, Paulette, Marie, Tika, Danielle, Katie, and Liz - They all take wonderful care of my mom and are wonderful!

Dear Staff, Nurses & all other employees at MediLodge of Howell, I just wanted to take time to thank you for going above and beyond the 'job description' in showing love, compassion, patience, and kindness. It takes a special gift to work with elderly people who are now facing a difficult [moment in their life]. Even those of you who are janitors and kitchen help, please know that your smiles, jokes, and sweet words made such a difference in my mom's life. Many of you she loved as her extended family. Hello, my name is Catherine. I've had the pleasure of being cared for by the Howell Medilodge staff and physical therapy specialists. My journey began last year when I was admitted twice to the Howell medilodge. The first time was January 2019. I was in a bad accident involving multiple injuries. My foot was severely broken. With a lot of hard work and an excellent staff, I was able to go home in June 2019. Unfortunately, a severe and aggressive infection caused my foot to be amputated in December 2019. I knew that the Howell Medilodge could and would provide a skillful environment for physical therapy and healing. Getting ready for a prosthetic leg and foot has been challenging, and the daily physical therapy as been very difficult. All made possible by the kind supportive staff here at the Howell MedilodgeI would definitely recommend the Howell Medilodge to friends and family. I'm finally going home with confidence in my new prosthetic leg. Thank you, Team Howell, for all you have done and continue to do! Catherine

As written in the Livingston County Press & Argus on 3/21/14 "I have just come home from five weeks at Medilodge in Howell. I want everyone to know about the great people who work there. The housekeepers, kitchen crew, physical therapists and nurses; and most of all, the ladies who personally take care all the sick and handicapped souls who don't really want to be there. They never fail to smile and do their work cheerfully and efficiently. They make it bearable. No, they make it pleasant."

I chose Medilodge of Howell for Joseph Williams because I was not satisfied with his previous facility. Dana, Austin, Lindsey and the rest of the staff really stood out. I specifically say Dana and Austin because they worked with Joseph the most and I could see the dedication and them trying very hard to accomplish out their set goals for Joseph.

PT/OT/ST was awesome in getting her to participate in therapy; from admission to discharge, all staff facilitated a smooth transition, home care and equipment were ready and discharge done quickly. My mother improved and always praised the staff. Everyone smiled!

When I first got here after having my second below-knee amputation, I was nervous. I was also thinking about what was in store for me. Then when I woke up, I was really uneasy, so I stayed in bed all day. That next day, I was prepared for therapy, and I had also set a goal to be out of here by Christmas. Then even though I thought I was ready, m mom intervened, so I wasn’t going home until New Year Day. For me, (I thought) being a double amputee was going to be a piece of cake, but I was wrong. I didn't know there were 3 different kinds of therapy that I would have to do, and it was harder than the first amputation. Now that I'm getting to go home, I see why I had stayed. I give a big thank you to Kathy, Mo, Terry, and Jen for all of their support and encouragement.

August 2019, I entered rehabilitation at MediLodge. I couldn't walk. My body was weak. I couldn't sit up or stand up. I made my first step on the 2nd day with the therapists on the parallel bars. From that time on, I progressed to standing, walking with a walker, climbing stairs, and exercises machines. It has been a joy to have gotten my life back and look forward to going home in the near future. I thank God for such a joyful recovery at MediLodge. The staff + patients are a wonderful experience. Love the therapists; they're awesome! I would recommend MediLodge of Howell.
